You are virtually making them berserkers with perma 2.5x damage rage.

/flanking is one thing but if it fails alot then people will bitch. In peoples heads they don't like things that unaffect or fail at higher levels, it gets annoying to players (just to state). I would rather have 4/4 attacks that are successful at 3x damage rather then 2/4 attacks that are successful at 6x damage (both values aren't part of the game, just giving an example.).. Successful being fail proof, not dodge.

I don't think anyone liked the idea of totally eliminating the delay from slayers stabbing as this would definitely make them OP.
I think everyone has agreed there needs to be some sort of delay if slayers don't need to move to backstab any longer.

I like the suggestions above to put a delay between /hide and backstab as this gives people a chance to counter with a /search and slows down their DPS.

Isn't a delay still putting them a round or so behind after a few rounds? If this is intended, then fine, but initially we start out round for round as slayers and get less effective the longer the battle goes on.

What Wobbi says is a good point. Assy may do higher damage, but you need to factor in the jump out, jump in, hide, stab bit. Your enemy just needs to keep clicking the macro.

21 Str (oads gear, no dual wielding, no RH/Fury) Damage Potential:
Pally: 151 - 203, 604 - 812
Knight: 161- 217, 644 - 868
Barb: 163 - 220, 652 - 880
Assy: 406 - 565, 912 - 1130 (backstabbing), 101 - 141, 404 - 564 (normal attack)
Ninja: 151 - 181, 755 - 905

It looks like Assy does the most damage, but you need to factor in the lose of time due to the backstab mechanic and the fact that the other classes have some kind of damage/defence boost (pally - aegis/heal/hvy armour, knight shield bash/heavy armour/+hp, barb fury/hp boost, ninja +dodge/r-h).

Doesn't back stab have a reduced chance to hit? If so than the average BS damage is actually worse.
Plus, especially when fighting in areas where mobs or pets are present, BS can be interrupted by a monster unhiding the assassin. AFAIK no other class, besides thieves, is hurt in such a way.

The backstabbing is not constant. It's always a percent chance to miss just like everything. Don't over think it so far lol

Ps ice creame sounds better , mmmm ice creame.
