Breasplate of Bloodlust from the Grove is better than the Emerald Armor I believe. It's 35 brilled/decked. I understand that some ppl waste keys on it to check it but I mean that keeps it to where there aren't a million keys in circulation. It's also level 20 rewards so I mean it's not like it's best in slot stuff. Hell, I thought the Raider's(Razor's?) Edge as a green itself seemed pretty sick. XD

If anything, I personally like when items are more rare and have a smaller drop chance. Its good for the items in circulation and economy, you don't want stuff to be flooded! What would be cool is an auction house of sorts! :)


Have you tried farming raiders / ringleader? Curious because while I think the idea sounds fine in theory, in practice it turns into people sitting on his spawn for hours on end. Anyways his loot is now outmatched so it's whatever, well except for the shield since there is no other choice besides bone shield.


Yes I also play the game and have killed raiders and the ringleader and I'm happy with the design besides it maybe needing to be a little more random. Truth is there isn't much content boss wise I see the raiders spawning as always something to easily check. It also gives a chance for pvp if people are camping. For its level they should be the best items. I don't think it will be much of an issue once more oads are in. Once we get this new player stuff settled I plan on finishing up the pad under the graveyard it will be a bit more casual which will contrast with the current oads being worked on my other builders atm.

I thought the Breastplate of Bloodlust was heavy armour and never took it... Good to know for future (or until item hints are given as discussed in another thread).

At the end of the day the problem is this - it's harder to get lvl20 emerald gear than it is to get lvl25 gear. Draco skins, Dread Fang, Onyx Helm. All easier to get than lvl20 emerald gear and that seems bizarre to me. To clarify easier I can farm skins and fang in a far shorter time than I can kill raiders, camp RL, hope RL drops something. Onyx Helm is a guaranteed drop from Dreads boss so 1 run and you have it.

Time vs reward is skewed is all I'm saying here.

And that makes sense here since it's basically level 20 top gear and you are pretty much farming level 25 low end gear.

I randomized the spawns a bit on ringleader (so people can't time it as well) but just keep in mind it was never meant to be the end all be all of oads. It just happens that there isn't really anything else that drops stuff boss wise comparable. Really trying to get more content out as fast as possible.

Would you really rather have it as just a set Oad with 1 key and boss a day that might take 15 mins for a level 25? Or multiple keys and bosses a day that provides a bit more entertainment throughout the day? That's really what it comes down to.

Not specific to this thread but I've used the same argument I'm about to make before. People just aren't satisfied/occupied because there isn't enough content in the game yet. It will come and things will be a lot better and feel more balanced. It was meant for level 20's to do anyways. I have heard that there is at least one new area coming down the pipeline soon so that should help a lot! On the bright side, balance and the newbie stuff is looking amazing! Everything is going to take time, just sit along and enjoy the ride. ^_^

I'm plenty occupied, this isn't about being bored or whatever. I just don't think this implementation = fun, but it's fine if others disagree and it's Lat's area so he can do with it as he pleases.

I hear you folder and take your suggestions into consideration so much because of how long you've been around and know the game but on this boss I wanted to mix stuff up and allow multiple chances at the boss a day. I understand it's a bit annoying for you but at the rate the raiders are killed an the ringleader killed I feel it's occupied quite a few people which is the intention. If it was just 1 key mini boss and 1 boss it would occupy 1 person for about 15 mins a day. Now we have quite a few people trying to get keys all day and the boss being attempted 3 times a day. I agree it can be more annoying to get what you want but more have a chance this way.

It's all good man, I appreciate all sides of things. I get where you're coming from for sure.

But seriously fk this boss lol. Personally I'm just jaded and bitter because I've killed him probably 15 times and only ever seen 1 drop. To be fair though at this point it's lvl20 gear and once an oad shield is out RL can burn in hell for all I care :evil:.

edit: I still think the idea of turning in multiple ithons for loot is cool. Or that could be an idea for a future boss, lots of MMOs do things like that.

I am one of those players that think the opposite. RL is the one OaD in game that is fun and actually competitive.
