Wait nono. We are on the wrong page. With slings you'll have to backstab, but it will be called AMBUSH instead.



Also. I realized the AP is wrong when DW'ing, that is fixd too. Had to make it a script to check and modify based on things. Shame thuogh, I would of liked thieves to use BOWS but their damage is too wonky to give them bows cause its based on sword damage The only way that this would work is if we removed swords from rangers but I don't like doing that because swords still hold a purpose (aka shield). So Slings it is.

Actually, we might go with bows, haha.

I might of made it work and it would be nice not to have to add another class only item just to make it work

Orly? If you fixed thieves and bows does that mean things like pallys and hammers can be fixed? Yes I'm still not giving up on pallys and hammers :P.

So are thief BS 3x or 3.5x? and bows will be 3x + 10% ?

Yeah 3x with 10% still otherwise wouldn't work.

Been thinking also about pallies. What about a spell that increases damage and resistances by 5% on their own div? Would that be a thing pallies do? Something like that.

Hard to say. Paladins in most other games have self buffs, do holy damage (we have that with smite but it's pve only), use hammers and/or 2h weapons, have auras, etc. But it's all different here largely because we want all classes to be somewhat equal when it comes to 1v1.

I mean yeah I'd love to see some part of pallys damage be magic, or them to use more weapons, or have auras (but bards do that here), or various other cooldown based skills (long CD lay on hands anyone?). Since cooldown-based skills aren't a thing this stuff becomes hard though.

I don't necessarily think paladins need more damage, in my mind they should be good at absorbing damage and put out moderate damage (and they do that now). Knights are better at absorbing damage, but paladins can heal it off so I think it balances out.

Thematically making part of their damage magic would be pretty cool, but no idea if that can work with current damage coding.

Using blunts give the paladin 15% bonus which makes the weapon min a little less than a sword but higher max by a little. At lower levels sword is better though cause 15% isn't enough, but around level 15 items it should be worthwhile to use now. AD on sword is 166.1 and blunt is 167.1 actually, so very similar.
