I'd like to suggest adding a way to extend the duration of spells.

What I would suggest is through immense concentration (doubling the cost of the duration spell) it makes the duration 50% longer.

So, what I mean.

spell 1 costs 100 mana and lasts for 5 min

Extended spell version is 200 mana and lasts for 7.5 min.

Just a suggestion.

A second idea,

Any spell I.E. heals, buffs, ect...
These type of spells, that are non harmful, would default to the caster if no target is specified.

Another Idea,

A spot on the GUI that shows a timer for each spell affecting you and what is affecting you before expiring.

GUI is planned for the new client.

Also just to point out staves will increase duration a small amount, and also penetration. Damage too if you add a ember to it.

Maybe look into extended in the future.

Something that would be nice that you can possibly add now would be having spells like Stoneskin show a different color when it fades. Fizzles too would be nice.

Seconding the request for different colors when it comes to effects expiring. That would be sooooo nice.

Maybe this isn't the place for it...but what does the spell ROT actually do? Dmg? and how much scaling to how much? lol. Also read something about effects lasting shorter on people for having low wisdom. Is this true? o.O Just curious.

Rot is a little stronger then beam but it poisons. It's handy in PVP as a first cast to drain the players HP a bit. Probably does 30-50 per tick but don't quote me on that at level 25 with 22/23 int


Only debuff spells work like that (FF, sap, etc). Lower wisdom means easier chances to effect you with the spell itself, but also it wears off faster. If you have more wisdom it will be alot harder to debuff someone, but it will last longer. It is similar to ROK's old system.

This does not effect buff spells. Only negative.
