I am not too bothered about this, and was not sure whether to put it here or in the requests. I looked through both threads to see if it had been suggested before (and cant remember seeing something like it).
Optional Racial Variants (doubt it will be on this client though even if the idea is liked).
You can choose the standard race, or a vaiant of a standard. The variant will be the same stock race but with a stat or two +/- to keep balance.
Think DnD (or even Middle Earth, doubt anyone played that though) DnD had what... Mountain Dwarves, Shield Dwarves, Moon Elfs, Wild elfs etc etc.
Examples:
Wild Elves: +1Str -1Int
Wood Elf: +1Agl -1End (although, they would be basically more intelligent/wise lings... eh... maybe +1Wis -1Int or -1 Str +1 Agl
Monutain Dwarf: +1Str/End -1Agl/Int
The elementals could be interesting, you could have the standard elemental or a variant that is linked to their div (they are more of that div, blessed by their God or whatever), so they could have 5 variants Fire/Ice/Storm/Earth/Night.
Anyway, just an idea.

Re: Racial Variants
That would be a lot of extra coding for what are really very minor differences. Racial variants aren't even all that useful in D&D based on my experience with the game.

Re: Racial Variants
I mean by racial variants if they were added, simplest way is just to have the actual 'subrace' as a race instead. I understand the idea of this all but it's over thinking something like that anyways. But I don't think we need a ton of 'extra' races though. Not yet anyways.
