Do all shop bought items and drops have bind on equip?

All shops buy items yes, They will buy items that are already soulbound to you. Not all items have soulbind, that is correct. And another point you just gave though.. You can test alot of items after the NEWBIE items (after level 8 items and under) because it doesn't have the soulbind property. So thats another point to why I don't think it's such a big deal too.

We only soulbind newbie area items and newbie items in the starter city I believe. Maybe one city over too. But soulbinding an item that doesn't have it requires actually using a scroll to do it.

Good to know! Yea i would much rather test the items then get community feedback. Even just adding some unique descriptions to items that could give a hint of their power level in correlation to a milestone (like level 10/15/20/25).

I agree items should show there basic stats such as armour value and dmg values. THis is a great idea and most games now days have it. Got to keep up with the next gen of gaming!

Yea something simple like an extra line that says:

For armors
AC: xx

For weapons
AP: xx

Just having those would be sweet.

Nightmist had a sweet system where you could type /library <item> and it would tell full stats description etc I think that system would work well in the academias but I'm just getting greedy now ;)

I don\t want everyone knowing other peoples items if they don't want to give it out. It's the choice of the player that has the item, specially special/unique items.

As I said, since the lot of you seem to want it, we can add the AC/AP to items. I think it should be as you stated above. You just need to remember that AP doesn't mean the item might not be better or worse, aka AP of 20 could be 10min/10max, or 9min/11max. I like it like this though, AP is an easy system to deal with and it's not going to change in that regard.

On top of that though, if the item has any special attributes it could be added. I.E. The starlight spade has an undead bonus. It could be like
'Extra: This item has a 10% bonus on undead'

or

'Extra: This item has a 10% chance of dealing 10% critical damage.'

If you want to go ahead and start doing that, feel free. I believe there aren't many items sides the crimson dragon, the event we ran, and the spade right now though. I don't necessarily agree with doing this, but it's more 3 to 1 so I'll accept the fact and plus its not a big deal. But it will be part of the description and thats it.

Sounds reasonable on not everyone knowing people's items I understand that.

Do you think it's possible to just code it so the values show on lookover (like how it says what class the item is for)? Or does it all need to be done manually?

This way it could also adjust automatically for blessings or enchantments on it making it much easier to compare and whatnot.

While we're on the subject, it would be nice if shops gave some sort of indication as what what each spell does.

It might be somewhat obvious by reading the name of the spell, but at the same time, newbs might not have any damn clue, right?

I mean, yeah but I won't be doing this for awhile then. I got better things to do right now that are far more important. For spells, yeah in the future as well. Might be good if it was explained in the academia or /help even at least for now.

As my first post, I would like to say I am enjoying the game. However some things I would like to see more of are spells like this so that these classes will have more reasons to exist. Identify for mages and necros that would possibly do what you are proposing in the first place with the shop keepers.

One that would/could gradually get better the higher in power you are.

level 5 = Sees basic features and strengths of the weapons

level 10 = Shows bonuses associated with the weapons

level 15 = Shows strengths and weaknesses associated with the weapon possibly.

ect...

I am a complete noob here and any information I can get would be greatly advantageous for myself as well as others.

Thanks for the thought.

I get asked about this a LOT (which item is better?), and I think for the sake of new players we really need basic item information. I know server stability has taken a priority so that's cool but imo this is an important feature the game is missing.
