Yeah the steal is balanced more now. I did remove about 20% off total steal value. It used to be:
INT * LVL * 1.2 = max steal
INT " LVL " 1.0 = min steal
ATM it is the same, but using AGI. It should now be:
AGI " LVL = max steal
AGI " LVL " 0.7 = min steal . Was thinking about 0.6 but this shoukd be okay too I think. 30% variance.
For NPCs, they got a huge buff with the AGI change, because alot them are dumb, they probably steal anywhere between 80-150 gold depending on the level. This doesn't sound like much, but if you are fighting one, you'll pretty much lose all of your gold as it steals from you, which can be a risk if someone else is around. (I.E. it can steal constantly off you or a group would, you'd lose 2k pretty fast.) The original value was 'normal steal amount / 4'. I adjusted it to 'normal steal amount / 12'.
This means that if a level 15 NPC steals from you with 20 agi, they will get maximum of 25 gold, and a minimum of 17 gold. A level 25 NPC stealing from you with 20 agi, will be about 41 gold max, 28 min.
The numbers should be alot more in line with what NPCs should probably steal now. Will be in 1.3's update for both of these changes.
