Sorta like Grahf's idea but split them into classes/Types:
Semi ideas
Tough: +hp +ac
Vicious: +TH +damage
Agile: +dodge +TH
Strong: +dam +hp
Berserk: ++damage +hp -dodge
Evasive: ++defence +th - hp
Could base this of the creature ie hawks are evasive class, tainted wolf are vicious class etc (maybe show this in creature description).
Then you can have baseline stats with adjustments determined by creature class.
Pets

Yeah that's already set for rangers. It'll be a super buddy pretty much.
I don't know all the details to this but it would be very nice if the ranger could tame any animal or creature to be their pet. and when that is done the creature gets all new special ranger pet stats that are uniform. That way every ranger can have a different unique pet instead of everyone having the same creature because that particular creature has the best stats.
That's the thing I try to diversify my monsters anyways so they should each have their strengths and weaknesses when they are tamed.
Nitehawk A taunt stat on monsters would be nice tho then it would determine who are pets are attaching and then when we tame them it would work as their taunt towards other monsters.
Re: Pets
Will there be a way to heal your pet via potion/food (like the ctrl + drop thats already in existence)?
Disclaimer: Any ideas I come up with may not even meet my approval. I am just posting an idea based on the topic I have just read.

Re: Pets
What if the pet protects the caster?
How much HP does the pet have anyway? It shouldn't have that much dodge and HP. So it could be useful for a few rounds and then have to recast.
Then again you'd have to work the paladin's protect dynamics to work with it.
Or you could leave that idea for a summoner class later on.
Mis dos centavos.
