Change saurian race to drakeblood?

This was mentioned in another thread, but no one's commenting on that, so we're gonna try a separate thing.


Drakebloods, for those of you who don't read old threads/never read it to begin with/otherwise wouldn't care, are magically created hybrids between dragons and any mammalian race, though the most successful ones would have been created from elves, both surface and dark. Why? Because elves have enough magical ability to withstand the raw power of a dragon, but not so much that they would cause "feedback" against the mage binding them like a gnome would, ultimately causing it to fail. Since the first ones were created, however, they've become their own separate race, with no true connection remaining to either dragons or elves. Nothing would change about them stat wise, it's pretty exclusively a lore change, since these are the lizard people in the world building I forked into the world of Ember Online.


Poll will run for two weeks, so if you have any strong opinions on this one way or the other, I recommend voicing them.

Saurian is a generic term for reptile. While I have no problem for generic terms, why not take this chance to make a distinct and unique game racial identity.

I'd put my vote down for both.

There's distinct differences between the possible lore of "saurian" or lizard/snake people and Drakebloods (dragon-kin).

Which also begs the question concerning "kobolds" and whether they are the D&D dragon kin or RoK(et al) "dogkin". (unless I mis-read/remember RoK)
