If you get stuck or need help, you can do a /who and page someone randomly. You might catch someone afk or busy but there is a good chance you will find someone who can answer a question. If there is a Staff member online they will point you in the right direction if able. There are some real jerks in this game but most are very good people who will help out when you really need it.

Just make sure when you page for help you do it from a city. No use tempting fate if someone is bored and just wanting to kill someone.

As Kruell has said, don't tempt fate, most people will help a new player but... yeh... there are some eh... interesting people in game, just like in real life though eh.
