So, I know there is an older post about this, but the thread is locked.
I'm new here but I'd like to post this suggestion:
Allow all players to post bounties on other peoples head. The bounty gets anonunced by the server, and you can check unclaimed bounties in the tavern.
Here are the restrictions/rules:
Level 25 players cannot put bounties on lower leveld players. Only on other level 25 players.
A bounty placed on someones head locks his current guildmembers for 1 week from claiming the bounty. Yes after 1 week his own guildies can claim it, that would still be a punishment of not playing that character for a week, thus a newb gets his payback and satisfcation.
The next issue is that newbs don't have gold to place decent bounties: 1.They stack 2.They have a built in multiplier based on level, and scales down the higher level the player is who puts the bounty until a 0% increase from a lvl 25.
Another idea instead of letting guildmates claim it after a week(they get perma locked from getting the bounty): The bounty could increase periodically with the amount of minutes that character is logged in, creating fun manhunts.
If a players bounty amounts to x gold(50k?), and he survives a week, his guild gets a 10pp coin.
Another potential addition.
Leaving a guild = 1 day cooldown to join a new guild?

I think the overall idea sounds good the only problems with bounty systems is that they are very easily abused and I am not really sure how you could stop it.
First off it would have to be all the players money going towards the bounty. then abuse wouldn't matter too much because its just one players gold going to another (not the servers gold going to a player).
The problem is I don't really think there is ever going to be a way from stopping players from just having a friend, alt, disbanded guild member etc... do the killing and collecting the gold
You could maybe have an option to set world wide bounty or only your clan can collect the bounty.
I like the bcast option but it would have to be limited and there would prob need to be a minimum amount.
If this did go in that would be cool to see bounty kills / deaths as a stat maybe?

Well if there was a fee to post the bounty that would perhaps negate abuse a bit. Also there could be like for example 3 options
1. 10k, Server wide bounty on killing the person 2k goes to the one who brings him down, and 8k is a tavern fee.
2. 20k, Most wanted list, this gets announced by the server. Any one who kills him during x logged in minutes(so he doesnt just logg out for a while) gets 2k and it's only possible to claim the reward 5 times. The number of "lives" he has left after the timer, rewards his guild with the same amount of [guild reward]. -10k tavern fee.
3. 50k, APB, Requires a guiild to put an arrest warrent, anyone who kills this person gets a reward of 25k (Must be in a guild to claim). The guy gets put in jail for 24hrs. 25k tavern and police fee
These offer strategic tools for guilds, also makes the server eat some gold for a more healthy economy.
Tracking of these statistics would also be fun. "Survived x times/minutes on the Most wanted list", Been on the APB list x times. Times in jail,
Still the 1 day cool down to hop guild would be a nice addition.
