@Killa - I'm not trying to push you or anyone else out of the conversation man. For the record I've never tried to get you, or anyone, banned. That happened because we were talking on these public forums. I give no fucks to get anyone banned and I'd like to see everyone stay and enjoy themselves.

@Gyko - I honestly think part of that is the small playerbase. There's not a lot of people playing so the potential PK pool is small. If you are on all day you're going to be recycled in that pool often. I dunno man, I've never ever seen in clan chat or discord people talking about hunting a specific person for hours on end.

To my original point I have in fact been paged before with pages along the lines "Go ahead and PK me again you'll be banned". I'm not saying I disagree with the 2PK/Hour rule, but at some point it gets just as bad in the opposite direction. People just need to chill out.

I think killing the same guy 4 times in 10 minutes is rude as shit. It's not technically against the ToS but, and I told my guildies this, you're just asking for trouble when you do that. There's not really any point to doing that to someone. I'm not arguing against any ban that happened today. Just want people to mindful that it's also possible to push away the PKers. We often wax on about how people getting PKd quit the game - well it can go the other way too if we penalize PKing too much.

Nerf XP loss from PvP, cool. That should help soften the blow without gimping PKing. Please don't punish PKers more though.

As far as the PKing in town - shoot man, I love that about this town. Actually it's the only thing I DO like about Memetown, lol. It's an overly silly town for a fantasy game, but the town not being safe is awesome imo.


edit: @NH - Why not just reduce XP on 2nd death? We're only allowing 2 kills / hour anyway. I'm not sure how you were planning to reset the counter here right? Hourly? Daily?

I'd love it if staff had to interact less or not at all when it came to PK'ing. I know there has to be a limit where staff has to step in if its just complete shit but yeah.

I don't want to penalize PKers. I want to soften the blow for people who die because I feel like there are a lot of new players who lose far too much XP to care playing the game. I feel bad for new players in particular because I think that some people get targeted because others can't simply be civil or act like adults and it ends up that the whole guild will get targeted. It isn't their fault though either, and they won't be around long enough to make a change.

For the actual values it is totally up for debate. Hourly, Daily, either or is OK, I'm interesting to know what people think in terms of XP loss. What about gold loss, item loss, etc. Not saying this is the same, but I'm generally interested. I don't think items should be adjusted per kill but that's just my sake. Throwing everything out there now though so people don't scream later.

I think two deaths per day won't be enough for full XP loss reduction though. One death is a bit little to suddenly have the XP reduced to lets say 10% at the second death. Not saying a death thing couldn't be daily, but I think it needs to be more. Per hour though 2 per hour might be OK.

I would track it with timestamps, and it would check on death the last X deaths I think.

I only idle I don't play anymore theres nothing for me to talk about. I just try to come up with things that I see are wrong and fix them. If its not wrong to anybody else its not wrong its just in my head. But ya i just idle, cant get pked all day in the temple 8-)

Also, just as a talk, the XP thing does help a bit but a new player getting killing several times in an hour is still something that bothers me. Though I don't know if there is really anything else that can be done that would work to even reduce it a little. AKA the harassment when targetting someone for a few hours a day.

Look, you've done plenty to try to help the situation. its not the setup or design its the people. Most everyone is playing this game how its meant to be played (random pking, oading, leveling, chatting). Some are out to make it miserable for others on purpose. Just check the obits, you will see. Same people dying by same people, everyday

I get that, but there can be systems in place to reduce the 'miserable' at least so its not as bad. Anything helps as long as it doesn't bone the game completely. No matter how it goes, there is going to be people who PK alot. If we had a big community, wouldn't be such a big deal, but we don't. It's easy to kill the same person over and over cause it's such a small community. I don't go against pking, its part of the game, but getting pked 10 times in a row would make me frustrated as well, as a normal player.

A declining xp loss system would be very cool and could really help the problem. But like i said, even after the whole situation earlier, first thing guy did was quote me "see you tomarrow" i know you deleted it, but being vindictive and making the game personal helps nothing, ive learned this first hand is why ive shifted attitudes on these boards and in the game. If we all got along it could be super fun. Even if we hated each other secretly and pretended to all get along, it could be super fun
