Pickup bombs and traps.

Figure it might be more interesting if certain mobs or bosses drop bombs that detonate on pickup or traps that detonate among leaving the room which can cause damage or death. It would encourage skillful picking and discourage spam clicking, the latter which requires no skill.

Interesting idea, could work well.

This might only work for people who click grab though.

You could potentially have similarly named items that act as booby traps?

i.e. let's say lots of people were at Mort Wraith and someone's spamming /get bone or whatever, you could have a similarly named item that's either cursed or booby trapped so on pick up it causes damage to them or their party?

Not sure.

lol, umm, well this is pretty interesting. The idea of picking things up that kills you still leaves some random clicker being lucky so that's not very different than the current system. I still think the room lock idea is the most fair.
