Re: Cowboy and 'Random' team mosh
All I can say is that I in any situation will do whatever I can short of breaking the rules to have an outcome favorable to myself, friends or clannies; and I expect as much from others.
That was just a bad event to expect people to play for their teams and not for their guild, but nothing is wrong with that.
Just make sure that some 1 vs 1 events are ran and then the whole spectrum is covered.

Troll. I am here to create the issues that plague the game, I will push your buttons and like the outcome.
Re: Cowboy and 'Random' team mosh
First....someone brought up the stupidity that Chris might favor people concerning Staff and thereby favoring players/clans/etc. Whoever wrote that in this thread clearly has no idea. Chris hates you all. He is only concerned in mechanics of even gameplay and if he could just make you all into little bots and have the bots level and event and such he most probably and certainly would. But there is no real money in that.
Secondly, moshes have ALWAYS yielded a kind of guild nepotism. It happens that way because people are people and if they for some reason cannot win pixelated riches they will find other means to do so upto and including negotiating with guildies for items yet unpurchased in events/bosses/etc they were helped to win/gain things by. I stand a better chance of getting a better deal off a guildie, with no real cares on how to spend their points, than I do off non-guildies. This is why moshes are best run when there are high numbers of people on so that no one person can predict the per guild numbers who will join (and if you whine in your guild chat that your clan wouldn't win anyway then you are actively choosing to lose before the event starts so weighing in on something you refuse to be a part of is just dumb). The other best time to run a mosh is when there is minimal numbers of people on so you can gauge whether an event will be balanced if it is a mosh. One of the easiest ways to run this is, if you do have balanced or unknown guild numbers, no rules. If you add pots and mana then a win with a guild concentration of 70 percentish in the mosh might not even matter if say they all got too lazy to pot well enough. Vice versa is true too. The easiest way to make sure there is no heavy balance one way or the other is to leave mosh type events rules-less and spontaneous. If run at the spur of the moment and leave warps open just for a few minutes there is little time to pot up in that situation. Keep people off kilter and guessing and this should create more than enough confusion to say that none of it was fair to anyone....except doomsday preppers who would stay potted up consistently to try to be ready for events....which is when you throw only class based moshes. We aren't quite there yet.
Third and last....for those who have not really dealt with people who are up in arms over silly things and for those who ARE up in arms. If it is too much for you to restrain yourself to not make zings at others on the sly or outright pages of hate or any number of things that you silly humans continue to do to aggravate one another then there is a Standby button you can hit on your machine to enjoy real life for a bit until you can (and yes I realize this is a nearly straight rip from another ToS) conduct yourself in the manner of an adult. We are all human here. Ripping into another person personally or otherwise is not conducive to getting others to listen, agree, or cooperate on a fair compromise. And if things do not fall your way in the result just accept it. You are here at the behest of someone who has spent countless hours of his own time at making all of this possible and considering there is literally just that ONE person who has the experience necessary to keep this game moving forward I would keep your piddling crap to a minimum. Things will get better. Uneven player experiences are still going to happen and SHOULD be expected. Be patient.

Cleaned topic a bit. I get the gist of this. We'll talk about it in staff event channel.
