How about an increased drop rate on death for certain items (for example keys).
More often than not (and this has worked in the favour for and against the me and the clan I am in - and will affect everyone anyway) a person has died but kept the key/oad.
Takes a lot of fun out of things I think.
Increased drop rate for certain items.

He means items dropping out of your inventory when you die.
I understand not wanting 40 potions to plop on the ground when you die, but could be cool if other items dropped more often. I've been killed with keys on me a fair number of times and I just wake up in my temple with them. Thanks for the free ride home eh?

Yes that is what I meant.
Could even base it on items value, more valuable the item the more chance to drop and vice versa. Although certain items like keys do not sell for much, but I think they should still have a high drop chance.

So weapons and armor highest value compared to a potion. Awesome idea for pking new players, and old players, to sell off their equip.
I have to disagree with this one , leave it alone

I think that keys should be 100% drop rate if they are for OaDs. Keys for Housing should be on a SB Keyring (once it is implemented). Unsoulbound Weapons and Armor remain their current 33% drop rate (value of items different drop rates is not something I think matters).
New players typically get handed Soulbound gear, it won't affect them.
People who purposefully do not soulbind gear so that they can pass it among alts or guild members will have that drop chance, but it shouldn't deviate from the 33% standard chance.
Re: Increased drop rate for certain items.
I'm of the opinion it should be at least 66% for everything but pots. Make it riskier if you don't want to bind your gear.
Risk isn't a bad thing, it is imo the only thing that keeps a game like this going. Remove the risk and you're walking a fine line.

To the victor, the spoils!
I have stuff unsb'd but it is stuff I do not mind losing. In such a circumstance I will offer to buy back the item from my killer (assuming it was a person).
If an item drops when I actually kill someone (hahaha) then I may or may not give back depending on who it is and if I have a need for the item.
Honestly though if an item is unsb'd, be prepared to lose it without whining.
