Sometimes i log on and bug random people i find on /who until i can get a worthwhile levelling party, however this is a bit inefficient and wouldn't scale well.
How about if we could set a status message just for that session?
/what would show you a list of characters online who had set a status message of what they were doing/looking for help with i. e.
Eld - Looking for Dreads or GY levelling party
Badass123 - Looking to duel
Elfchick69 - Wants to 'RP' and/or help with Arkhamhaka quests
I'm not sure if it'd get used unless people had the list of statuses flashed up to them on logging on.
It could help to promote activity
We have /who, how about /what?
Re: We have /who, how about /what?

C'mon Eld, keep it G rated ...
(((Aloe Vera))) pages you from the Broom Closet (Secret hiding spot): hey, you seen eld around? he forgot to put my lid back on.

Re: We have /who, how about /what?
how about adding a few commands that give a short indicator on the /who list.
such as
/LFG presets your character to read name(looking for guild) on the who list
/XPP presets as name(exp party)
/OAD presets as name(wants to boss)
/1v1 presets as name(looking for duels)
or if space on screen is an issue, jut put an asterix after the name of anyone with a preference setting and people can use /i to see them.

Re: We have /who, how about /what?
/lfg has been posted about many times, and I'm another dummy doing /who to find people also, however this prob won't be implemented until scripting and client release cause of how much there is to do.
Ps, can I meet elfchick?

Yeh, I am not bothered about anything else in this thread apart from Elfchick69. Seriously guys, stay on point.
Although I might need /duel to take of this Styx chap.
