Character Creation

I was doing some brainstorming on character creation. I have some ideas of debatable quality.
Have all stats start at 10 (with an appropriate stat pool left over; this will easier then the next one below) OR
Have Prime Stats (2 or 3 stats) start at maximum for the race:
For example a Barbarian will start with their Prime stats (STR, END and probably AGL at max, the rest at 10). This one would require a lot of initial ground work.
Have a races maximum stats show beside the bit where you increase/decrease stats, with a * next to it, a footnote for the *
"*This is the maximum that the stat can be for your race, unless you +1 it (you can only +1 one stat and it comes at an extra cost to stat pool" or some such.
When a stat (the value) is at maximum it will be green, when it is +1'd it will appear blue (or whatever colour)
Stats ( sorta related to the primary stat thing above) could be coloured to show what is appropriate for the class, Prime stats in Blue, Secondary Stats in green... etc. Could be a footnote explaining this as well "Stats coloured Blue are recommended for your class"
Have Classes Highlighted in Green for popular choices specific to that race; ie Gnome will have sorcerer and necro in green text. Perhaps red for those considered poor choices.
Have div colour co-ordinated to the colour the temple appears on the map (I think something like this was mentioned for when you look over a character).
