App notifications

I would like to request an application that sends notifications to your smartphone wherever events are about to be ran.

Well if someone did this I could always make the server output some information to a text file which can be grabbed via a program. Would be pretty cool to see notifications. (I.E> check for updates every 1 minute and output).
