Yeah I'll probably look into it.
I just want to state.
AP on your character is average power, not attack power. It is based on your average non divinity damage. It will often not go up simply by 1 point because it is based on your average weapon damage. It used to be weapon only, but people disputed it and it was changed to average damage instead.
When it is listed on weapons it will be the actual weapon value. It will be viewable in stores, etc.
Showing Armor Value and Power Value on items in shop/inventory

If merchants were able to tell you, I would voice my input something along this way, to where they say X is better than Y and just say that. Let the mage's with "Hopefully" the spell identify sort out the specifics. Promoting more use for mages in game and more spells.

Re: Showing Armor Value and Power Value on items in shop/inventory
I'd like to do something like that in the future for item drops but for now it is in the weapon/armor itself. I will eventually get towards more sorc/necro spells but again it needs to be added slowly and with careful balance. IDENTIFY is a good way for drops that mobs will get, I will eventually see about this.
Re: Showing Armor Value and Power Value on items in shop/inventory
Also pointing out it gives you average power, not min/max.
Min/max might be a thing for identify scroll. But should at least give you an idea where it is at. I.E. if you have two different 15 AP swords then you might wanna test them both as it could be a min/max of 15/15 or 14/16 for example.

yea maybe using an id type sorc spell could show actual hp left on monster and their drop table or something?
on items it could actually show range instead of just ap and any special bonuses it might have.
keep the ideas flowing

Well, ideas should go in the other thread. Not here. But yeah, sorc based spell that identifies HP remaining might be cool
