Change saurian race to drakeblood?

Which also begs the question concerning "kobolds" and whether they are the D&D dragon kin or RoK(et al) "dogkin". (unless I mis-read/remember RoK)

I'm not sure how to vote on this. I plan on playing exclusively saurian (anyone else out there doing that?) and because I'm getting older "I don't like chaaaange", but if it is important for our lore and the storyline, I don't mind it getting changed to drakeblood.

I guess a little change never hurt anything. I'll still get pwned.

Yea i really see no reason why there couldnt be both with slightly different stats or whatever fits. no need imo to remove anything that people might enjoy.

Because there's nothing resembling dinosaurs in the world I forked to create Ember's lore. Drakebloods are functionally the same, the only thing that changes is their immediate association is dragons instead of dinosaurs.

Well Saurians could be devolved Drakbloods, more physical, less intelectual.
Drakebloods could be more intelectual, less physical.
Although personally id prefer them to be mysterious npcs/enemies/ally's than player characters.

Saurians always came across more lizardman than dinosaur to me. Part of the lore is that our world was magically teleported to this plane from the old world so how would we explain the extinction of Saurians?

Comparing that to a Half Orc, Halfling, and even Goblin, the Drakeblood would be sub-par as a combat class. With their low intelligence they will never be a good spellcaster. I would rather see them keep a high agility (22) but due to the way they were created they are vulnerable to magic. With the changes made to the way Charisma is used, I'd suggest keeping their wisdom low but giving them an increased Charisma.

With more chr I could see them being used as decent tanks even with the 20 agi.
