Gold sink for the tavern NEWS
Re: Gold sink for the tavern NEWS
How is that a good idea at all? It ruins obits tracking.

or each tavern has different obits based on where your character respawns. if you respawn in fort huldar thats the obit that has you on it.
but on the otherhand you should atleast get a "head start" on getting your gold back if you die to a monster

I always thought Obits was for bragging purposes, not for spying on what other people are doing :p

+1 for obits delay. Few mins would be enough.

They are for both. They encourage fights, and discourage careless dying.
I see zero benefit to adding a timer to them.

Seems overly complex for a simple system that people use for content, and I do like it as it is.
I do agree with a system to sink/remove gold by removing a death from it for 15k-20k. I agree that it should be costly though. I don't like delays anyways.

How about the other way around? Having to pay to see obits?

This is done regularly. I think it's dumb, but, shrug.
I feel like we are just trying to change something here for the sake of changing something. Obits are not a problem in the slightest.
