premium stuff
Re: premium stuff
I would pay money for cosmetic stuff like that. I don't think you should be able to buy items though. That always cheapens a game imo.
Re: premium stuff
Am also a fan of doing this for cosmetic stuff, novelty, housing, whatevs. Not so much a fan of it for items.

I'm a fan of paying money for stuff that isn't game changing, i.e. the TF2 hat model.
As for OADs...
I think we have a problem with all the big clans at the moment that they're finding it hard to get together 6 25ers who are motivated enough to run the current OADs.
I do think having OADs where you can only take a smaller party (let's say 4?) would be a big help to most clans, and if balanced correctly could be more difficult than a 6man OAD.
If it is more difficult then I don't think they should get worse loot because of it?

Re: premium stuff
One thing you can do to restrict that "pay to win" aspect of buying high end OADs is to limit the amount of OADs one can purchase. If you make it so that any given person can only buy, say, 3 OADs per IP that should be enough to keep people from becoming too powerful. 3 may even be too much. I mean, you could make it 1. There are plenty of ways to get around people buying their way into being ultra powerful.

Re: premium stuff
No one should be able to buy power, ever, in any way.
You monetize even the most petty of things and make it they only way to obtain it, then there will be trading for money-based perks with in-game items and gold.
Absolutely not.

Re: premium stuff
I couldn't think of a better way to ruin the game other than buying items.
If it's more than cosmetic, it will curse the game.

Troll. I am here to create the issues that plague the game, I will push your buttons and like the outcome.
Re: premium stuff
Cosmetic items, custom pictures and maybe One line descriptions in look over only.

Re: premium stuff
Would it be possible to implement custom weapon descriptions?
Don't take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive.

Desc could be changed possibly but not the item name.
Re: premium stuff
also realized there's a small weapon blurb you can add that gets added to any weapon, must of did that a long time ago. It's customizable. Adds a desc to the end of the current desc.
