I feel we have way too many level 25 Characters already. Why? Too easy.

I've seen people do 1-25 in 3-4 days. Yes they played ALOT but jesus..

Level 50 would require alot of new areas and messing about with code but i think in the log run the game wont end so quickly.

Im not sure it will ever be a level 50 thing. We talked about this and everyone seemed to like the idea of restarting once you hit 25 back at 1, but with an added bonus like +1 stat point or something.

I suggested for example
You hit Ninja and decided to "prestige" or start over at lvl 1
Doing so you would keep your Ninja title and gain the +1 stat point that you could add to any stat
Once you hit 25 the second time Ninja would change to Shadow Ninja or something (like an updated version of your class showing you have reset and leveled a second time)
I also suggested at that second level 25, when you became a shadow ninja, you gain a new skill like throwing stars or something, giving your new Shadow Ninja the ability to throw ninja stars.

This would solve a lot of issues you would run into with doing 1-50 like balancing issues, or pk issues (lvl 50's running around just murking people or running in to lvl 25 oads and owning bosses with no real threat to their life)

We would almost have to make a whole new world for 25-50 where level 50's couldnt interact with the lower content or players. If we went that route.

Which is a cool idea, say you hit 25, you chose to board a ship that takes you to a new continent (transfer) where there is lvl 25-50 content. Npc's balanced around 25-50, etc...

But that would require a butt load of content to produce. Would be a massive undertaking building a whole new world. I think it'd be easier just using what we've got/are producing and restarting back at lvl 1 but with some added benefits like mentioned above.

I like those ideas Cere. I mean I hate lvling but that seems by far the most practical for a game/staff of this size.

Yeah there's just A LOT that goes into doing content and balancing if we were to extend the levels past 25 to 50.

Allowing players to restart their lvl 25 while keeping their title, gaining a stat point or some other bonus and gaining a new title/skill at the second level 25 seems like the easiest way to go.

Then we avoid the need to introduce super high content, new formula's for balancing, etc...While still giving the players a feeling of achievement.

It's kind of like how Revelations worked where you could restart but it would be level 1A, 2A, etc... Then they could start over again once they hit max level and it would be level 1AA, 2AA, etc...

If it's plus 1 stat it can't exceed maximum stats allowable

In revelation max level was 100 the AAS were for altenatate advancement of skull and spells. It wasn't like getting a level up and gaining more hp/mp and the attacks goes up but rather building on current skills you already had. I played rev for years and never maxed out any chars skills or spells. It was truly a amazing game. RiP

Ya I'm a pretty big fan of that type of lvling system. Encourages people to stay with the game too as they can continue building their mains up little by little.

I'm late to the game here, but I really like the idea. It would depend a lot on how the +1 stat worked though. Would it be just one regular stat point, or would it be a +1 to any stat? For instance:

Dark Elf

20, 23, 18, 10, 20, 10

Would the one stat point allow you to +1 another max stat or would it just be 1 point allowing you to bring int up one or chr up to 11. Also would it be able to +1 an already +1'ed stat?

Personally I think it would be worth it if you could +1 any stat regardless if it was maxed, but NOT +1 a stat that has already been +1'ed. If that makes sense. Basically you could say get 21 str but you couldn't get 24 agi. If its just one stat point that can only up the int or chr, that would not be worth it obviously. I mean I'd still do it for the title and skill.

I was talking with Honzo the other day about a cool idea.

I'd like to see a skill tree added with new skills for each class (like 5 skills per class). Once you hit 25, this skill tree would become available and yo would have 3 points that you could use. You could choose to put 1 point in 3 different skills or all points into 1 skill. The last 2 points if added to the first skill you picked would basically act as damage multipliers. Say I put 1 point in throwing stars for ninja, I do the proficiency quests listed below and reach 100%, I could then add my remaining 2 points into throwing stars to multiply the damage. Say max damage is 100dmg, I add my second point and it increases my damage by 25% bringing it to 125dmg, put my third point in bringing it to 150dmg.

So for Ninja I put a point in Throwing Stars

It would have different levels of proficiency

You would get a quest telling you to kill a certain amount of npc's with your new skill per proficiency level.
25 npcs killed = 25% proficient with throwing stars, damage with throwing stars increases to 25% of max damage (with throwing stars)
50 npcs killed = 50% proficient with throwing stars, damage with throwing stars increases to 50% of max damage
75 npcs killed = 75% proficient with throwing stars, damage with throwing stars increases to 75% of max damage
100 npcs killed = 100% proficient with throwing stars, your damage increases to the max damage for throwing stars.

Basically you would be starting out with the lowest damage, as you completed each proficiency task, you would hone your skill, increasing your damage.

This would give 25ers extra end game content to use.
