I see steam being a HUGE bonus for this game mostly if its put under the free branch and you can always set it as a early access as well so that ppl will know that the game is still being developed. It would be well worth the 100 bucks to put it on there if your going to keep putting as much hard work into the game as you have been. But keep in mine with the influx of player might also mean the server needing to be upgraded (based on how many join) You can pay a lil extra to get put on the front page for a few days im sure which during this time of the year while everyone is off for the holiday season would bring in even more players. *Thumbs up* To this idea!

Would need the coin if we were to attempt this but also the server can probably handle up 500-1000 people now after I fixed alot of the issues. I didn't optimize it 100% yet and can still be improved.

I like the idea of global chat, could be useful in /lfg to find people to level with etc,

It could be abused but if done correctly it would be very useful

Even to say hi and find out who is online and looking to talk

i honestly didnt know batmud was on steam either, ive played it for awhile(5 years semi active, 2 years not so active) and seen maybe 10 players from britain and only 2 other americans, besides the friends i had pointed to the game. if it is on steam it isnt working really. most of the playerbase is from netherlands i would say near 65%. america is the worst market for muds, we are spoiled with gaming choices, and most of our country is sub-par intelligence :( . (maybe if monks dual wield ak-47s and spin in circles killing people til they have to reload and die, and respawn with the trigger down, we could get a few million players...)

a better investment is to try and get the client compatible with tablets before a steam release. maybe an on screen keyboard pop up icon in the lower right etc. but for the moment the game just needs to be larger. isnt going to hold much interest when there is nothing to do to support alot of players.
"Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go into the same box"

this game is like sim ant
zerg the red ants with more black ants

I'd be very interested in this game reaching Steam.

NH made a post with a game plan , before major advertising can happen. It's the next year's plan. But if we want to advertise then try the free mmorpg sites

Of you want to make suggestions of free Web advertising then leave a link so staff can take a look :)

Quickie list of sites, I do not know costs to advertise, if there is any, and just a list for staff to look at and consider

I advise asking people from other countries, foreign languages etc, so other sites and places can be considered also
