The story of Ember?

What story would you write?

A word-for-word remake with my fountain pen.

The story of Ember?

Postby Remnant » Wed Apr 27, 2016 3:32 pm

I've been encouraging the community not to limit themselves based on nostalgia. Why duplicate a 20 year old game? As I've reflected, I've realized that internally I've been polarizing the issue. There are shades of gray. Just because you build a fountain pen and process your own parchment doesn't mean you have to transcribe a Shakespeare sonnet. You could write something new with the delicate and elaborate tools of old. That's how I see the story of Ember. You miss the smell of the ink, the weight of the pen, but you have a chance to create a new world.

I am a remnant of things long past, of things that lingered but could not last.

I'm not sure your poll encompasses everyone's desires.

What Thoth said, you should make an option to where we reference RoK, but new and updated content

I updated the last option. Apologies.
