I voted yes, I have a horc, 24 str 20 agi. Doesn't hit or dodge worth a **** but when he does hit for max it's a bit overpowered.
It be hard to adjust now for those who went 25 str, maybe adjust weapon damage, or make 23 with 24 being max?
Is 24 STR too much on Half-Orcs

Other alternative is to make 25 str same as current 24 str in damage, so about -6 to -10 damage loss depending on class then scale everything so that 18 str is still the same. Might be a possibility. Would indirectly reduce elemental druids overpowering issue too a little.
Re: Is 24 STR too much on Half-Orcs
I got mixed feelings about this, I think you could possibly do diminishing values after a certain point for str stat. I don't really want to vote on this until the dex update though. It could work itself out with H/O Slayers AND H/O Zerkers getting nailed more (low agil) for the trade off in the top tier burst dmg. Btw, I do not own a H/O Slayer nor a H/O Zerker which would be the main focus of nerfing the 25str. As far as Elders go, think if you slightly adjust the scaleing for wis to str% gained upon morph might help balnce elders. Mainly Ele Druids.
Re: Is 24 STR too much on Half-Orcs
I mark yes based on horc being 19 agi and if agi changes come then huge dammage amounts to adjust would be needed.
However, if dwarf is 19 agi also then str should be adjusted high to help compensate as a lower agi , high end race

I don't know what this means lol. Dwarves can not have more STR, otherwise they are just better versions of orcs because they have all kinds of damage negation.
Definitely on the fence here and Z has a good point about the agi changes. We may wanna see how that plays out before also donking str.

Re: Is 24 STR too much on Half-Orcs
Just comparing str vs end vs agi values, yes there is a lot of adjustments for dwarf race though, I need sleep lol
Edit it would give dwarf as a more viable option for elder.

Re: Is 24 STR too much on Half-Orcs
aren't you already making agi matter more soon, whats the point of making horcs weaker then adjust agi and make them hit less. what would be the reason to even make them anymore. why not roll out the agi update first then see how they are and revisit this then..
Re: Is 24 STR too much on Half-Orcs
home boy with regular ass gear got a 10 streak in KOTH last week and won with a saurian slayer... don't nerf horcs lol
Re: Is 24 STR too much on Half-Orcs
I vote no. High Str is all horcs got going for them as a race to differentiate from others. They don't hit or dodge often. If u close the Str gap then I suspect most will simply choose saurian (much better hitrate for slayer for only -1 str) or dwarf (much better MR etc for similar END). In other words I think nerfing them will only lead to less race/class build diversity going forward and/or probably leave players feeling burned if no compensatory race change is offered for those holding a Horc.

I mean they also have the highest end and hp recovery rate so they have more than just str going for them.
I don't think it's a bad idea to wait for the agi update to take another look but yea they are pretty good.
They are op as slayers maybe top tier zerker / monk / knight as well but at least those classes have comp. ho slayer is def the best slayer by far.
