Room image changing by room commands

I didn't know how to title this.

So there are places you can look at special items in a room. Flowers, a globe, etc. I was thinking it would be neat if doing that changed the room image to an appropriate one (in these examples - an upclose flower, or a map of the world).

Doable?

At first i thought this idea was ok but couldn't see too much benefit to it.

However on rereading it and seeing your mention of a map this could potentially bring a whole new depth to the game and make it more immersive.

Imagine being in an area where it says don't look down, and if you /look down you see a great image that invokes vertigo.

Imagine areas where some hints come in visual form.

I'm getting brief flashbacks to the codexes you had to decipher in Assassin's Creed.
There's a range of different difficulty levels you could do with this

Yeah Eld that's the idea, it could be utilized a number of ways to help with immersion. Just an idea to make some places feel more alive.

Eh... I remember old rok... I actually looked at the images to see if there were clues (at OAD spots)... silly me :).
So yeh, this would be a nice idea.
This will probably require a lot of artist work though.
Disclaimer: Any ideas I come up with may not even meet my approval. I am just posting an idea based on the topic I have just read.

I thought the same at first, but potentially it'd only be used a dozen or two dozen times in the whole game for a while.

When looking at it that way, an extra 12-24 images doesn't seem so bad, especially when the images will likely be very impactful for an area?
