This is the first community event. As such, there may be issues and we will resolve them as quick as we can!
The Devourer is out roaming the world, but be careful, he seems to be resisting all attacks! You must all come together and gather 'ancient potion pages' before the devourer can be defeated! You have around week and a half to gather these pages - the potions and the battle with the devourer will be on Saturday Oct 13th around 12-1PM server time.
Speak to Alvina in Seamoor City - World Event Center (Near the Test Arena/Mayor's Office). Alvina will accept any page you find! The more pages you find, the higher the potion level, the easier the Devourer is to defeat in the battle! The potion pages do not drop on death!
Potion Level 1: 500 ancient potion pages gathered - 25% damage on Devourer
Potion Level 2: 1800 (+1300) (ancient potion pages gathered - 50% damage on Devourer
Potion Level 3: 5000 (+3200) ancient potion pages gathered- 75% damage on Devourer
Potion Level 4: 13000 (+8000) ancient potion pages gathered - 100% damage on Devourer
Potion Level 5: 35000 (+22000) ancient potion pages gathered - 150% damage on Devourer
ALL MONSTERS OVER LEVEL 16 WILL DROP BOOKS. LEVEL 25 MONSTERS START AT 50% DROP RATE AND GO DROP RATE DECREASES 5% PER LEVEL. The rate is lower for arena monsters.
You will get a book when you hand in your first potion which displays some information. Potions must be reapplied when they run out, so make sure you stock up! Without potions, you cannot damage him! All the pages gathered are together. AKA if you give 500 pages and someone else gives 200 pages, thats 700 pages total which would put it to potion level 2.
Prizes:
During this community event, rewards will be awarded to everyone that particapates. Rewards are based on each player's particapation.
1st place: 1 Free Item Rename + 1 Free Character Lookover Desc + Unique Cloth Armor - Mysteriously + Blue Boots + Blue Gloves + 4% EVIL Ember
2nd/3rd place: 1 Free Character Lookover Desc + Unique Cloth Armor Item - Radiant + Blue Boots + Blue Gloves + 5% Divinity Ember
Top 25% players and above: Unique Blue Boots/Gloves(random) + 5% Divinity Ember
Top 50% players and above: Unique Blue Boots/Gloves(random) + 4% Divinity Ember
Participation award: Unique Blue Boots/Gloves(random)
When the Devourer is vunerable there will also be prizes (If you win 1st/2nd/3rd from the above you are exempt from this):
Most Damage: Level 25 Item - Unique Purple Staff w/ Bonuses
2nd Most Damage: Level 25 Item - Unique Purple Staff w/ Bonuses
Most Healed: Level 25 Item - Unique Purple Hammer w/ Bonuses
2nd Most Healed: Level 25 Item - Unique Purple Hammer w/ Bonuses
The devourer will NOT drop any items, and gifts will be handed out a few days after we tally everything. Items will be revealed when they are given out! Participate by giving pages to get your reward or fighting in the battle! The room the devourer is in for the final combat will be PVE ONLY.
Prizes are given out to your MOST ACTIVE character. It doesn't matter what character you use as we tally via account, but the rewards will go to the character that has the most activity on it! The items are NOT BOUND and it is only so we can deposit to your account automatically via your most active character! You will have to bind it yourself!

On top of this, depending on the potion level you get will trigger some additional bonuses between Oct 14th to Oct 21st:
Potion Level 1 Achieved: 2% XP/Gold Boost!
Potion Level 2 Achieved: 5% XP/Gold Boost!
Potion Level 3 Achieved: 10% XP/Gold Boost!
Potion Level 4 Achieved: 20% XP/Gold Boost!
Potion Level 5 Achieved: 35% XP/Gold Boost!

Note2: Forming in parties with thieves drop rate boosts is a great idea, but make sure you split your dropped pages
PLEASE NOTE: Since this is the first time running it, there is no easy way to display each persons potion pages and know where you're at. If this does work out I'll make a proper GUI and automatic recording for the system that will help out much. This time around you'll have to deal with how it works for this test
